Genevva Coaching has embarked on an exciting journey to discover the non-traditional skills a leader needs in order to thrive in the present environment while actively shaping the future.

We are exploring skills like:

  • non-judgemental, meditative observation /pattern recognition / insight generation
  • immersive listening
  • reading for insight
  • sense making – Sensemaking is the ability or attempt to make sense of an ambiguous situation. More exactly, sensemaking is the process of creating situational awareness and understanding in situations of high complexity or uncertainty in order to make decisions. It is “a motivated, continuous effort to understand connections (which can be among people, places, and events) in order to anticipate their trajectories and act effectively (Dave Snowden)
  • metacognition – awareness, and understanding of one’s own thought processes
  • invitational rhetoric with a new twist
  • intuitive decision-making in complex environments – relying on gut instinct to make complex decisions under pressure, constraints
  • synchronicity- Synchronicity is the coming together of inner and outer events in a way that cannot be explained by cause and effect and that is meaningful to the observer. (Carl Jung)
  • co-creation
