Description

Coaching is a partnership (defined as an alliance, not a legal business partnership) between the Coach and the Client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize personal and professional potential. Coaching is for individuals who are emotionally and psychologically healthy and who want to make changes and move forward in their lives.

Coach’ Responsibilities

  1. Coach agrees to maintain the ethics and standards of behavior set by the International Coach Federation “(ICF)”, www.coachfederation.org/ethics
  2. Confidentiality: information shared in coaching sessions is confidential and not shared outside the session unless mutually agreed upon. The only exception to this procedure would be in a situation where the Coach is required by law to make a disclosure, or where the Coach has a good-faith belief that disclosure of information is necessary to comply with the law, to protect the Coach’s rights or property, to avoid harm to the Coach, Client or anyone else, or to respond to an emergency.
  3. The Coach may postpone/terminate any future sessions required to complete the Agreement, where payment for a prior session has not yet been received. Upon receipt of payment, The Coach will reschedule the remaining sessions under this Agreement.

Client’s Responsibilities

  1. Client agrees to communicate honestly, be open to feedback and assistance and create the time and energy to participate fully in the program.
  2. Client understands coaching is not therapy and does not substitute for therapy if needed, and does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease. If Client is currently under the care of a mental health professional, Coach will recommend that Client inform the mental health care provider.
  3. Client understands that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for professional advice by legal, medical or other qualified professionals and will seek independent professional guidance for such matters.
  4. The Client is fully responsible for creating and implementing his/her own physical, mental and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, actions, and results. As such, the Client agrees that the Coach is not and will not be liable for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided by the Coach. The client is aware that they can choose to discontinue coaching at any time, as can the coach, at her discretion.

Coaching Session Procedures

  • All coaching sessions are conducted in person, by telephone or skype as arranged with the Coach prior to starting the program.
  • Any coaching session attended must be paid prior to the start of the session.
  • The Coach and client commit to start and finish each session on time.
  • Client agrees that it is the Client’s responsibility to notify the Coach forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the scheduled calls/meetings if they need to cancel or change the time of an appointment, otherwise, the Client will be charged for the session in full.
  • If the client is more than 20 minutes late to an appointment, the session will also be charged as used. Coach reserves the right to bill Client for a missed meeting.
  • The Coach and client commit to start and finish each session on time.
  • The Client sets the agenda for the session.
  • In between coaching sessions, the client may feel free to email the Coach.
  • Calls made between the scheduled sessions are permissible and based on availability; the parties agree to keep the calls to 15 minutes or less.

Both coach and client agree to communicate honestly, be open to feedback and be ready to dedicate the time and energy to participate fully and without reservations in the coaching process.
